Starr   Large to very large, skin rather thick, tough, nearly smooth, green becoming yellowish-green, sometimes with an indication of a faint blush, numerous small and large pale or russet dots, flesh tinged with yellow, moderately fine, very tender, crisp, very juicy, sprightly medium acid, aromatic; good for sauce and pies.
