Ugli Fruit Citrus fruit, form of grapefruit, is a cross between a
mandarin and a grapefruit which occurred spontaneously in Jamaica. Thick
pulpy sometimes warty grotesque exterior, which is also often discolored
with a yellowish-orange color. The name is said to have been given to the
fruit in Canada which received the first exports. Eaten fresh.
