Tangerines or Mandarin Oranges, North African origin, a member of the Citrus family. Tangerines are available fresh, canned and bottled as sections and mixed with other fruit juices. Use tangerines as oranges. Choose fruit heavy for its size, with a tight fitting unblemished skin.  Dried tangerine peel is used in Asian Cookery.
