Chilies can be divided into two main categories:

   (1) mild & sweet
   (2) hot or pungent
These groups have a wide range of sizes, shapes and colors.  Most of the popular mild, or sweet, varieties are large in size ranging from 2 1/2 to 4 inches in diameter and 4 to 5 inches in length.
