Color    Green to red, yellow, brown, purple

Dried    Not sold in whole dried form but are dehydrated for use in processed foods such as frozen pizza, etc.

Processed    Red are canned and used as a substitute for pimento

Mandarin Bell

The most recognized and used capsicum in the United States.  Sweet peppers were developed through the process of selection by the American Indians  before Columbus discovered America and were known as Bell Peppers as early as 1681.

The Bell is a thick-fleshed, sweet pepper used  as a vegetable, for the most part is consumed in its unripe green stage, even though they ripen to a  red orange, yellow, brown, and deep purple
