Found on both sides of the Atlantic, the Mediterranean, Africa down to Angola and the Western Caribbean down to Brazil this grouper is identified by its brownish gray coloring with white blotches scattered through its sides and dorsal fin. The Comb grouper attains a weight to ten pounds.
