Common Morel - Morille ronde
The cap is conical and the color is ocher-yellow to dark brown, or olive
to brown. It is pitted with irregular cavities up to 1/2 inch wide. the
stalk is thick, often grooved or folded and the base is sometimes very
wide. The point is powdery with a white to yellow color.
The common Morel is found on sandy river
banks, in sunny damp meadows that are protected from the wind and located
near ash trees, near stacked wood and in fruit gardens, woods and parks.
