The cloud berry looks is a member of the same family as the blackberry therefore it has a similar appearance though golden in color and smaller in size.  It grows in Northern Europe especially in the Scandinavian Countries like Finland and Norway, and in Canada.  The cloud berries are picked when ripe in late summer and early fall.  In Norway you will find cloudberry cream in Canada in pies and puddings and in Finland as a liqueur.  

The Canadian name baked apple berry, refers to the flavor of the cooked fruit.
