 Elicoidali Italian for "helix" , this medium sized Italian tube pasta consists of flat-cut tubes with spiraling ridges on the outside. It is similar to rigatoni but slightly narrower and the ridges on the surface of elicoidali are slightly curved around the tube, rather than straight as on rigatoni. Used in casseroles.
