Sichuan Peppercorn
(Xanthoxylum piperata) The tiny seed pods of this member of the
prickly, ash family, have long been used in China and Japan for their
peppery bite. Used in seasoning powders, and fragrant salts, it adds a
lovely zest to many dishes.
