Hickory Nut Juglandacea carya..
Also known as kingnut, mocker nut, pig nut, shagbark,
and water hickory. The hickory nut has a round to oblong shape.
Wild hickory nuts were common along the whole of the
East Coast of the United States. They were used as a food source by
migrating Indians. However. in America the wood from the tree is much more
valuable than the nut.
