Fettuccine / fettucine / fettuccini

a thinner version of
fettuce, these are long, relatively thick ribbons of pasta.
A narrower version is called fettuccelli, while a wider one is called
fettucci. Fettuccine
is approximately ¼ inch wide
and in flat strands approximately 10 inches long.
The origin of fettuccine is difficult to trace because they
are available in several regions of Italy and known by different names.
Fettuccine are one of the oldest and most common pastas. Fettuccine means
“little ribbons” in Italian. Egg fettucine goes well with cream sauces.
This long and flat pasta is used with a wide variety of
sauces and uses.
