Found around offshore rock reefs or shallow bays to 600 ft (183 m) from Kenai Peninsula, Alaska, to San Benito Islands, Baja. The diet of copper rockfish includes snails, worms, squid, octopus, crabs, shrimps, and fishes. Grows to 22.5 in (57 cm). Status; Not threatened. Commonly caught and marketed for consumption, especially as live fish in Chinese restaurants. |
