Keoghfish,  Ophichthus rex (king snake eel,shrimp eel, Snake eel, Giant snake eel)
 

This large eel is caught in substantial numbers as bycatch of the longline fishery. It is presently discarded, but large numbers could be produced upon development of a market.

This is a very firm, white-fleshed fish with many intramuscular bones.

Size ranges from 5 to 50 lbs.
