Halve small melons and scoop
out seeds. Serve halved, in wedges, garnished with lime or lemon, or cut
into balls with a melon baller. Slice watermelon, or cut in wedges.
Scallop edges of melons, or cut melon baskets for decorations.
Because there is an occasional outbreak of salmonella
associated with some melons, scrub the outside with tepid water and soft
brush before cutting
