Prunes Dried plums

Preparation  Cook prunes according to package direction. Prunes may be cooked in fruit juices or wine instead of water. Chop prunes with a sharp knife, or cut with kitchen scissors.

 1 pound average-sized prunes measures about 2 1/2 cups.
       1/2 pound average-sized prunes, pitted, measures about 1 cup.
