Domestic
early or mid season crop used for sauerkraut, since most varieties mature earlier than Danish.  Heads they are less compact, and the leaf tissues more tender and brittle than Danish.  There are both flat and round varieties. The leaves usually are crumpled or curled and do not overlap so far at the top as do Danish types.  Does not keep well and should be stored only for short periods.
