Redskin  a large almost round highly colored freestone, yellow-fleshed, medium texture, firm, good quality, although slightly astringent at times, ships well.  The quality is slightly superior to Elberta, and is earlier and more productive than Elberta.  Released by Maryland Agriculture Experimental Station in 1944
