Wash before eating.
Cut in half and remove pit; peel for cooking or eating if desired. Peel
with a knife or vegetable paring knife or cover with boiling water, boil
for 10 seconds and slip peel off. Squeeze half a lemon over sliced peaches
if they are not to be eaten at once, to prevent darkening. The pit can be
broken with a nut cracker and the bitter peach almond used as a flavoring.
