as
a
replacement
for
the
Tartarian
and
Bing.
The
fruit
is
larger,
firmer,
and
of
better
flavor
than
Tartarian
and
more
resistant
to
cracking
than
the
Bing.
The
cherries
mature
a
week
earlier
than
the
Bing,
but
the
tree
produces
a
lighter
crop
than
the
Bing
even
though
the
Larian
is
larger
in
diameter.
The
cherry
is
round
,
heart-shaped,
smooth
and
symmetrical,
the
flesh
is
red
to
dark
red,
meaty,
fine
textured,
and
moderately
juicy.
