|
Prepare
pie
crust
as
outlined

recipe,
lining
the
pie
pan
bottom
and
reserving
top
crust
for
later |

Mix
sugar,
flour,
nutmeg,
cinnamon,
and
salt |
|
|
Mix
in
the
butter
which
has
been
melted |
|
|
Pour
the
flavoring
mixture
over
the
apples
and
toss
the
apples
to
evenly
distribute
the
mixture |

Place
apple
mixture
in
9
inch
pie
pan
lined
with
pie
dough |
|
|
Cover
with
pie
crust
dough,
crimp
edges.
Cut
slits
in
the
top
of
crust
to
allow
steam
to
escape. |

Place

oven
and
bake
for
50
minutes |

Mix
egg
white
and
water
together,
then
brush
the
pie
crust
thoroughly
to
glaze.
