neck.
From
the
apex
it
tapers
to
a
prominent
symmetrical
or
pointed
nipple.
The
skin
texture
is
generally
smoother
and
less
markedly
ribbed
than
the
Eureka.
The
rind
is
of
medium
thickness
and
the
surface
finely
pitted.
The
color
is
yellow
at
maturity.
The
juice
content
of
the
Lisbon
is
of
good
flavor,
very
acidic,
and
easily
extracted.
The
seed
content
varies
but
there
are
usually few
to
none.
This
variety
tends
to
ripen
in
the
fall
in
dessert
locations
and
in
the
winter
and
early
spring
in
coastal
areas.
