Epoch developed in Idaho and Iowa this variety has the same adaptability to the north central and north east growing areas.  It is one of the harder onions and is there for adapted to mechanical harvest.  similar hybrids in this class would be the Autumn Spice, Hickory, Nugget and Spartan Era.
