Eureka
elliptical
to
oblong,
and
sometimes
egg
shaped.
The
blossom
end
or
nipple
is
usually
short
and
often
surrounded
by
an
indentation.
The
medium
thick
rind
has
a
corrugated
texture
and
is
often
slightly
ridged.
The
surface
may
also
be
finely
pitted
with
sunken
oil
glands.
When
mature
the
fruit
is
yellow
with
abundant
juice,
and
about
ten
segments.
The
seed
count
is
a
few
to
none.
In
dessert
locations
the
Eureka
may
have
a
rougher
texture
with
a
more
prominent
ribbed
surface
and
smaller
flatter
nipples.
