Thompson
(Pink Marsh) originated as a sport on a typical Marsh growing in the grove of W.G. Thompson in Oneco, Florida.  The variety was named and introduced by Reasoner Brothers of the Royal Palm Nurseries, Oneco in 1924.  Another pink fleshed bud variation of the Marsh was described by A.D. Shamel in 1920 as occurring at Riverside California.
