appearance

cambium
cells
(the
layer
between
the
bark
and
wood)
is
red.
The
fruit
peel
is
yellow
with
a
reddish
tinge
and
a
distinct
red
blushes,
with
color
development
beginning
in
mid-summer.
The
peel
is
smooth
and
thin
and
the
flesh
and
juice
are
a
deep
red
color,
much
more
so
than
the
Ruby.
The
flesh
is
firmer
than
the
Ruby
and
better
suited
for
sectioning.
It
has
0
to
9
seeds.
