Foster
The
first
reddish
colored
grapefruit
came
from
a
Walters
(one
of
the
Duncan
type).
When
grown
in
California
the
Foster
shows
a
light
flush
on
the
surface
and
in
the
middle
section
of
the
rind,
and
the
pulp
has
no
color
or
is
only
slightly
pinkish
near
the
center
of
the
fruit.
When
grown
in
Florida
and
Texas
it
shows
a
pink
color
throughout,
but
the
color
in
in
the
membranes
only
and
the
juice
is
colorless.
This
variety
is
rare
today.
