To Prepare for Cooking
Remove husks and silk, cut off stems and if desired remove tips. Corn
can be roasted in the husks, wrapped or unwrapped, buried in hot embers or
coated with oil and grilled. Kernels can be cut off the ears before
cooking. Cut corn should be drained well before serving.
Test for Doneness - Kernels should be tender
but not soggy.

Do not add salt to water; corn on the cob can be held in
the water it was cooked in for a short while if a pinch of sugar is added
to water before it boils. Add 1 tbs. milk to cup of water, optional.
