Farmed Raised Rainbow Trout


Trout represents the oldest aquaculture industry in the Untied States where the first hatchery came on line in the 1880's.

Most of the trout sold in the United States is farm raised and harvested for the markets.  There is no special season for trout.  Freshly frozen trout is shipped nation wide throughout the year.

Fresh trout packed on ice is also available throughout the country. 

Trout has a mild flavor and the flesh can be white, pink or orange depending on their diet.  The flavor and quality have a direct relationship to the water and diet they were exposed to while being raised/
