Native to northwestern America this trout has been transplanted throughout the States and all over the world. This trout is the most widely used in the aquaculture business and therefore most used in the restaurant industry. Domestic trout have a white flesh while the wild sometimes can carry a pink, orange, to deep red color. Usually available in the 1 to 2 pound range the wild trout can reach a weight of 50 pounds in the Northwest. |
