Booth 8 and Booth 7 varieties both originated in Homestead, Fla., as seedlings of an unknown Guatemalan parent in mixed planting with West Indian avocados. Booth 8 is oblong- ovate, small to medium large, nine to 28 ounces, medium green, rather dull skin that is slightly roughened. Booth 7 fruit is rounded, obviate, medium size, 10 to 20 oz., bright green with slightly pebbled, glossy skin.
