Most vegetable oils are light in color and weight and designed for all
purpose kitchen use. A generically labeled vegetable oil is usually
a blend that is inexpensive and has a bland flavor. Light heat and
time work against oils but vegetable oils tend to keep well if stored in a
cool dark space.
