The Brown shrimp are harvested off the southeast coast of Florida, the east and west coasts of Mexico, and in the Gulf of Mexico The brown shrimp gets its name from the light brown or tan shells they display when freshly caught that turn a brilliant coral color when cooked. Their meat is white with coral tones.
