There are more than 100 varieties of rhubarb, but few lend themselves to commercial growing.  

Victoria is an old variety and is the principal forcing variety.  It produces large yields of good sized stalks of good quality and color, is a good shipper

Strawberry (Linnaeus) an old variety 

Early Mammoth  grown in Michigan hot houses sometimes as the crop because they can be forced rapidly.

German Wine and Crimson are popular hothouse varieties in Washington.

McDonald, Ruby, Valentine, Sunrise, and Cherry are newer varieties
