Sauce Pan - Sauce pans are used for much more than making sauces.  Their size of 1 to 7 quarts and high sides make them great for small reheating functions, steaming vegetables, cooking rice, boiling eggs etc..  Sauce pans should have a thick bottom and sides if possible to avoid scorching or burning reductions.
