Mealy or Grainy
- A "mealy" or "grainy" condition imparts
a granular consistency when the butter is melted on the tongue. The
intensity is described as "Slight" when the mealiness or graininess is
barely detectable on the tongue, and "Definite" when the mealiness or
graininess is readily detectable .
