Hanging Technique

Hanging Birds
Hanging Deer
Hanging Rabbit

1.  Cut a 2''X2" into a three foot length.  With a saw cut a shallow notch completely around the wood an inch from each end and one in the middle of the board.

2.  Saw off the bottom of each hind leg several inches below the knee. with a knife make a cut inside the skin of both hind legs to a point 4 inches above the knee.

3.  Peel the skin back exposing the large tendon at the back of the leg.  Then slit any tissue that may be between the bone and the large tendon. this tendon will support the animal when hung so be very careful not to make any cut into it.

4.  Insert the 2"X2" through the space between the bone and tendon.  Tie each leg to the wood using the notches you just created to hold the rope in place.  Tie six feet of rope to the center notch then place through a pulley attached to a strong beam.  Hoist the deer completely off the ground.
